Make A Lasting Gift
Paying tribute to someone special in your life or someone who has made a difference in the lives of others is a wonderful and deeply meaningful way to honor them. MTRA enables you to do this through donations that can be made directly in a person’s name.
Whether you wish to mark a special event such as an anniversary, birthday, key life milestone or even make a gift in memory of a lost friend or loved one, MTRA considers it a privilege to be the recipient of such a loving gesture. MTRA Could Be Your Horse’s New Home
Every one of MTRA’s unique and special program horses have joined the MTRA family through a kind and caring person or family that wanted their horse to call MTRA “home.” All of our program horses receive the utmost in care and loving attention from volunteers, clients, trainers, parents and others who are part of MTRA. With a wide array of horses that come to us with colorful stories and interesting backgrounds, we would welcome the opportunity to add your beloved animal to our roster so it can forge a miraculous bond with our clients.
It takes a special horse to become a program horse. That’s why we look for these traits:
- Unflappable – Program horses must be calm no matter what is going on around them
- Gentle – they must love affection and attention
- Patient – they must be forgiving for every level of client
- Sound – Our horses must be able to maneuver easily and comfortably
As our list of clients grows, so must our family of program horses. If you are interested in exploring the reward and satisfaction that comes with knowing your horse will become part of an extraordinary program, then contact our Barn Manager Gail Dufresne about donating your horse and become part of our miracle-building program.
Scholarship Fund
Provide Opportunities to Others
MTRA is firmly committed to providing the miraculous benefits of therapeutic riding to anyone who wants to become part of our program, regardless of their financial circumstances. It is through our scholarship program that MTRA can proudly say we have never had to turn away a client due to the inability to pay. That’s why this type of donation is so important.
Specifically, our scholarship fund enables MTRA to cover the costs associated with lesson fees, special equipment, boots, hats, and other therapeutic equipment. Our scholarship donors will receive a number of benefits to ensure the importance of your generosity is recognized as a vital part of MTRA’s program development.

Another important way you can help MTRA is to help us fill our “wish list.” From lumber to tools to office supplies, we are constantly in need of materials to keep every facet of our program and facilities strong and viable.
