Growing to Serve More Clients

MTRA began on seven acres at the Hillcrest School for Exceptional Children on the southeast side of Marion County. Today, there are more than 75 clients from five counties and over 135 active volunteers participating in the program at both Hillcrest and at our main location at Greenway.

Greenway: Our Main Facility

Through a series of exciting events and much hard work
by the staff and the generosity of the community,
MTRA added a second riding facility in early
2008 at the new Greenway Location.

The Greenway facility is home to our resident Barn Manager, our main administrative offices, our classroom and is frequently the host location to many fundraising and awareness events, such as the Ann Romney visit in June of 2012, the 2013 MTRA Charity Auction and PATH certification workshops. The original Hillcrest facility is still maintained by MTRA and instructs their very special needs students on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year.

Take a Tour!

Tours of our riding facilities are available upon appointment to the public. Whether you are interested in becoming a volunteer, a client, a corporate sponsor, or simply wish to make a donation, our doors are always open. Come see firsthand the miraculous benefits of horseback riding therapy. Call or email to make your personal appointment to view our facilities and a staff member will be happy to assist.
